Yes, mine also, exactly than yours. I think Microsoft has solved the majority of troubles of this update (v. 2004) and, in a few days you'll see the upgrade offered by Windows Update. Good Luck.

I'm currently at work, so I did not had the time to go through all the posts in this thread. If this has been answered, then please point me to the solution.

I decided to upgrade my main computer (see my specs) from Windows 10 Pro 64-bit EN-US v1909 to v2004.I downloaded the Windows 10 64-bit EN-US v2004 ISO, mounted it using Windows Explorer and started the setup in order to upgrade from v1909 to v2004. I selected not to do any updates (just in case any wrong update interfered with the process and lead to BSOD) and proceeded. I then got a message that my system is not yet ready for v2004 and I'll be notified when it is ready! What that means? Do I need to update any drivers? Since it is a rather old system (see specs), there is hardly any new driver I could install. Even if there is any "new" driver update I would rather stay with the latest official nVidia graphics driver since I want all features and settings accessible from nVidia Control Panel. Updating any chipset driver I don't think is necessary and also it is very risky, no thanks. Updating the audio or LAN driver should not prevent upgrading Windows 10 to a newer build. Probably there is a conflicting software, but the message did not specify. It just told me my system is not ready yet! Any ideas?

If your system has an upgrade block (i.e. the "PC not ready" message in Windows Update) Microsoft is now blocking forced installs.

There are several issues with the 2004 upgrade currently.

For something you say ms is blocking wonder why media creation tool is still working and creating iso's for 2004 lol
Is this just a poor blocking bug

That seems an eminently sensible move on the part of Microsoft, I'm just surprised they hadn't thought to do this before.

I suspect though that if you really want to force an install (at your own risk, don't blame me if it destroys your system) then disconnecting from the internet before starting should bypass the check for current blocking issues. I can't test that though as I don't have any 'blocked' machines to try it on.

Not all systems are blocked.

Several people on another tech site I frequent installed 2004 and are running just fine.

It's interesting that people complained mightly when upgrades broke their systems.

Now that there are upgrade blocks, because it might break your system, people are complaining.

It would be a good time to do a disk image backup before proceeding.

If ms were truly blocking 2004 they would remove the media creation tool or only offer 1909 to be created.
