    Attached in the Sysnative BSOD File Collector for the 6 month old Gigabyte Motherboard.
    The 10 year old machine has been continuously updated. The Gigabyte Motherboards drivers are the same and there are no newer ones for this motherboard. All devices are working correctly no yellow flags in the Device Manager. Image has steadily upgraded from 1703 to 1909 on the old computer after every 6 months with no issues. I took an image of the computer at 1903 and restored it to the Newer Gigabyte motherboard computer. Then I upgraded each Desktop to 1909 using the same downloaded ISO image. Both computers work flawlessly. Using the same downloaded ISO image for 2004 on both computers, they both fail with BSOD on second boot. Exception Thread Not Handled. Both computers have the latest nVidia GPU driver from the nVidia web site. Please check the BSOD collector zipped file for more info
    I'm still getting helpful support from Gigabyte on my 8 year old motherboard. It's worth asking their opinion. I was recently advised to turn off the fast boot / startup option in the BIOS to solve a boot problem.

    No piracy or discussion of piracy allowed at all. Such as software, music, videos and other intellectual property violations (e.g. downloading youtube videos locally etc) - it is forum policy that no help shall be given to people who knowingly steal software or services.

    The logs displayed piracy / cracked software.

    Please install a licensed version of Windows without KMS and Windivert.

    Then upload a new V2.

    ps = powershell
    It's amazing what those log files will reveal.

    Hi quick question. My desktop (first system in system specs) refuses to update to 2004. I don't get any error message at all and no explanation of where the incompatibility lies, and when i force upgrade using installation media it always reverts back to my previous installation. Should i try a clean install or just leave it in the hopes that Microsoft fixes it?

    thanks.

    If you have no important files and it's easy to reinstall applications ten as NavyLCDR commented you can perform a clean install.

    If you have important files then you can perform a reset save files, custom install, or refresh.

    If you prefer to troubleshoot then run setupdiag > post a share link for all files into a new thread
