Many thanks for your help again.

If I would delete the EFI partition, would it be possible to resize the windows partition to use some of the free disk space available on the disk next to the current install?

    Regards

If you remove EFI partition, you won't be able to boot into your system any more.

    Many thanks again.

I can boot the system with the grub 2 boot partition.

I don't need the EFI one.

If you down load minitool just watch panels as you install. Lots of unwanted crap. Love the tool, hate the crap.

    C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another

    Many thanks again.

I am having to work to delete enough files to spare 20 GB space. I am at 17.7 GB.

I will fix this and try the update.

    Regards
