I'm trying to install Win 10 Build 19041 in the middle of the install the screen goes blank and "HDMI inactive" shows up. How do I correct this situation. I have clean installed previous verstions but this is the only time I get this prompt. I need your help please. TIA.
Try a different hdmi cable, check inputs, make sure the hdmi device is powered on and not going through any other devices between computer and display.
I have tried switching cables and different hdmi ports but no go. I think maybe it's the stock display driver that's doing this. How do I update the driver if the screen goes blank? TIA
Or that you need to go into mobility settings and check “Desktop” settings You can always do a DDU to fix it if it is a driver issue with the GPU. Also check bios settings.
