    What happens when you boot while holding down the escape key??

    Does a menu pop up, with a choice for the F9 key?

    You should NOT have to get into the BIOS.

    Presumably, I now want the option
    Custom Install Windows only?

    Do I have to delete the Partition 1 (primary) drive to put everything onto one unallocated space? (See attachment)

    By definition: a clean install requires all partitions to be deleted to unallocated space.
