Clean install win 10 Pro

So where is "Clean install" located with in Win 10 Pro ?

But at some point I do do a "Format", right ?

I understand what "Clean" and "Install" means. That doesn't answer my question

If your goal is to do a clean install, your first task would be to make installation media using the Media Creation Tool. That would require a USB flash drive.

Are you willing to do that?

"Clean install" is a process with several steps and a result.

It isn't something you can hold in your hand.

It isn't something you can point to like a potted palm.

It isn't "within" anything like a pair of shoes might be within a shoe box.

What remains unclear?

I already have the USB drive made. Don't I have to format or something first ?

Are there not any video's showing this process ?

As has been said multiple times in this thread, you don't have to format anything.

You don't have to format anything.


You need to boot your PC from that USB drive and delete ALL partitions when you see that option.

Will that USB drive boot your PC?

You should have only one (1) hard drive connected to your PC when you begin the process.

Then you need to be careful about which of those drives you choose for the Windows installation.

If you choose the wrong drive, Windows will end up on the wrong drive. You have control of that.

It's up to you to know which is which.

If they have different sizes or different names, perhaps that will give you a clue about which drive is correct.

You will need to delete ALL partitions from that drive. It's up to you to choose the right drive.

Do you know how to boot a PC from a USB drive?? You need to choose the USB drive from a menu.

Can you find the menu?

When I setup to boot from the USB, since I have two internal HD's what am I going to see ? What is going to come up ? I only want to clean install a new OS on one drive. What should I expect ?
