As per the numerous and lengthy threads on previous upgrades on 'how long does it take' - patience is your best friend.

If after 7-8 hours (most are much quicker) you're still stuck, force power down, restart and hopefully let it sort itself out, then download an iso and try upgrading manually without accepting updates this time.

If you have 3rd party security software, uninstall it.

Check your disk. Make sure you have at least 30Gb free on C:

Thank you for your reply and letting us know.

Now's the time to start disk imaging again with a new base (initial) disk image before something breaks (or you break something). e.g. Macrium Reflect - free.

Not for the first time. That has been noted in previous feature updates too. Doesn't seem consistent either, not everyone reports it being turned off.

It was offered on my Acer desktop today, I've not downloaded it yet as I didn't have the time to bother with it. I'll start it tomorrow morning, I've had installed on my laptop since last December when it was offered in the Slow lane of the Insider Program.

The update crashed for me after about 30%, rebooted several times and did a pretty scary rollback. Everything is fine now, but the update is still not installed after two attempts. Two of my other PC's updated to 2004.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900101: Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004.
