    Win10 time zone during setup?

One of my annoyance with installing Win10 is that there is no time zone setup.

Is there anyway to add like a script into the Windows installation to bring up time zone setting or automatically add my local time zone?

I know there are answer files for this, but I don’t want to use that option.

I know that you prefer not use an answer, but that's precisely the sort of thing that an answer fil can help with

Lacking that, I have an idea, but I admit that I have never tried this so I have no idea whatsoever if this can work during setup:

In setup, try pressing SHIFT + F10 to get a command prompt. See if Windows will allow you to run TZUTIL to set the timezone during setup. If this is going to work at all, my suspicion is that it would be most likely to work later on in the setup process.

Yes, you can set timezone at region selection screen with TZUTIL: MCT clean install defaults to Pacific time zone w/o option?

Free version of NTLite allows you to that amongst other things.

I like to setup Windows with no internet connection, will this work without internet connection?

I remember trying the TZUTIL command before, it sets the time zone the way I wanted but as soon as I have internet, there is still a 9 hours ahead or behind in which tells me that the time zone it uses is still US Pacific Time.

    I’m in Europe.

Take a look at Karis response (message number 3 in this thread). In his post to which he has linked, he notes specifically that internet access does not matter.

Try it, If for some reason it doesn't work, post back and we can try to troubleshoot. If it does work, post back that it is working so that we all can have conformation here that it is working as expected.

Tried it the first time with no internet. Then the second time by selecting my Region as United States and from there i used the command TZUTIL /s "my local time zone" this time WITH INTERNET. And it works.

So it does work with Internet connection, but not without.

My question is, when I go into the Command Prompt and typing SYSTEMINFO, the date and time still reflects to Pacific Time. See image.

The setting still does work after doing the TZUTIL command during installation and sets the time zone to the correct one in the Windows Settings, but the actual clock time showed Pacific Time. This was without Internet.

But with performing the installation with Internet, it works.

My question is now, why does SYSTEMINFO show Original Install Date as still Pacific Time?

The image you attached shows only "Original Install Date" along with a date and time but no indication of a timezone.

We can look at this further, but just out of curiosity, why is it that you prefer not to use an answer file? It's so simple and would make this whole thing a moot point. If your concern is merely the hassle in making one, I can provide to you a pre-made answer file and then you can simply modify the couple of lines you want to change.

    Ok fine thanks, pls attach.
I ONLY need the Time Zone setting with UTC time zone from your file nothing else. No partitioning either as I can do it manually. Just the time zone part that’s it.

Where should I add this file for my bootable USB?

And I need to convert the install.esd to install.wim first?
