I have been installing Windows 10 on various different kinds of PCs for over 5 years and the standard partition set up for every single Windows 10 machine that I have dealt with is 4 partitions. What 2 partitions do you see?

On newer Windows 10 legacy BIOS installations you get a combined recovery/system reserved partition and the Windows 10 (boot) partition.

I can't install Linux as it needs an EFI partition. Any ideas?.
You can use GParted to create an EFI partition.
