Can I copy OS drive on HDD over to SSD in same laptop?

    You don't realise how obedient I am, AddRAM - I was asked to snap Device Mgr and so I did. I couldn't read those numbers but have now managed to do so, you inspired me - and look what I found in specs on NotebookCheck re a different Acer notebook:

    (The green is because I used Ctrl+F to find it.)

    I wonder if the operating system is actually on that SSD and they've somehow blocked off half the drive? Or can part of a drive be corrupted?

    I don`t think any company would go out of their way to do that. Is that Device Manager snip from the laptop we are working on now ?
