Try the explore option in MiniTool Partition Wizard to explore the contents of the partition. You can also try the option in MiniTool Partition Wizard to rebuild the MBR.

There are multiple methods to troubleshoot.
See which files are available using Ubuntu / Linux.
On a working computer create a bootable Ubuntu flash drive:

Using Kyhi boot rescue see if you can download, install, and run TestDisk
TestDisk Download - CGSecurity
Older versions of Mini Tool Partition Wizard offer limited free data recovery.
What happened with Macrium?
Ah recovering MBR is done on the disk level, not on the boot partition. Anyways, that didn't help. I am just getting a blinking underscore after rebooting...
I did a
bootrec /FixMbr (success)
bootrec /FixBoot (success)
bootrec /RebuildBcd --> success but total identified windows installations is 0
See this link for troubleshooting options:

For rebuildbcd > use attrib command
How to Rebuild the BCD in Windows
Ok, so I did this before
bootrec /FixMbr (success)
bootrec /FixBoot (success)
bootrec /RebuildBcd --> success but total identified windows installations is 0
I then decided to hook up my old SSD just to see what happens when I boot. No go. Then I booted into the windows installer clicked on next and then on repair. Usually there are the two options Troubleshoot and Turn off your PC. However, this time I had the option Continue - Exit and continue to Windows 10. I selected that, it did some repairs and then booted into Windows 10. Holy cow!!! So then I shut down the system to see if I could boot without the old SSD. As expected that didn't work. After reconnecting again I didn't get the underscore but something like <=E<=E. So I did the same thing again using the Windows 10 installer disc and it booted into Windows 10 again. I am not going to shut down the computer and see if it can reboot without the installer but I am running BackBlaze to do a new backup (haven't run it for a couple of weeks). Then I will get all my license code. Maybe I have to bite the bullet and purchase MagicBeans.
It's not over yet but thank you everybody for the help. I got some exercise as I probably have been doing at least 40 round trips up and down the stairs...
The I've not looked into what Kyhi shows but in the today world the free/trial version is limited. You'll find that out when you try to recover files or read the fine print. Not telling you what I'm guessing I'm going on actual usage.
But here you go... MiniTool Power Data Recovery License Comparison. I had far more than a gig to recover
For Windows 10 licenses are on Microsoft servers.
This allows clean install.
Were you needing other license info?
