    Creating unattented.xml - Privacy Options

Hello! I'm still configuring an automatic way of installing windows

My concern is - how should I configure my unattented.xml so that Privacy Settings are turned off (https://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/...10-privacy.png - This One).

I've read something regarding ProtectMyPC=1,2,3, but 1,2 seems the same(??) and 3 turns off updates

    Thanks in advance!

Note - I'm not a professional IT worker, I do this as a hobby and I want to automate my windows installation so that I don't have to waste 2-3 hours. I've already created a bundle with all apps that will install on a new computer, but I can't figure how to configure the unattented.

Quote from tutorial Create media for automated unattended install of Windows 10, its step 4.7:

ProtectYourPC (read more) value can be 1, 2 or 3:
    • 1 = Recommended (default) level of protection
    • 2 = Only updates are installed.
    • 3 = Automatic protection is disabled.
For instance, the following setting in answer file turns all protection off:

    <ProtectYourPC>3</ProtectYourPC>

It must be in settings pass OobeSystem.

    Hey, Thanks for your answer.
Selecting value 3 won't turn off automatic updates ? If so, I think they can be easily turned on again. And I don't understand "all protection" - like Windows Defender or?
    Thanks in advance!

"Protection" in this case only means Windows updates. ProtectYourPC only changes how updates are delivered:

    • Value 1 = Specifies that important and recommended updates are installed automatically.
    • Value 2 = Specifies that only important updates are installed.
    • Value 3 = Specifies that automatic protection is disabled. Updates are available manually through Windows Update.

Ok, got it. But on this article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...-protectyourpc

ProtectMyPC refers to Express settings (which I think my problem is)
So both Express settings and updates will be turned off?
    Thanks in advance
