Setting up additional partition is not possible from Windows 7 from disk management.
Windows 10 supports multiple partitions. See the article below:
How to set up multiple partitions on a USB flash drive on Windows 10 | Windows Central

The following is my example. I booted my PC from "Disk 3" and then clean-installed Windows 10 from "Windows ISOJ:", the second partition.

Windows 7 only installs bare with only internet connection and a browser, the total download of the ISO file was 10.6 GB

Windows 7 total configured download of that ISO file was now suddenly 24.7 GB
Why do you bother about Windows 7 when you intend to install Windows 10?

    Rufus settings

    Partition layout = MBR
Target system = BIOS (or UEFI-CMS)
    File system = NTFS
Cluster size = 4096 bytes (standard)
    Fast format = on
After using Rufus, most of your 128 GB will remain unused. If you put data into the unused space, all the data will be erased when you use Rufus next time. That's why I have never used Rufus to create a bootable Windows device.

Why would anyone buy a 128 GB USB stick to use as a installer

    ^^^
I have a collection of older 8GB USBs that I keep to hand for making the MCT install media, and that is sufficient to make media that has both the 32 and 64 bit installs.

Am I right in thinking that the OP intends to buy 128 GB for installation?

@Bree, I just use the ISO method to update, it`s so much easier and faster but ya, I have quite a few 16`s laying around now.

I have a 4GB dedicated strictly for Macrium.

On the first page, @bobkn and [B @Try3[/B] indicated to use a USB falsh drive.

I have never had this myself and whether that is how you can work with it. The stores were closed to be able to purchase a USB falsh drive. I even indicated that I would do immediately as soon as the stores were open, which I did.

Nobody spoke about a program with which you could transfer the ISO file to a USB falsh drive. I had previously seen in a video that Rufus could do this easily, so I had downloaded and used that. After text and explanation of everyone who wrote a topic about it.

I used MCT in the first place, which I also don't even understand what that abbreviation stands for. I now believe that MCT is meant (Media creation Tool). @idgat @Berton and some others indicated that in order to download the ISO file and burn it to DVD.

In the meantime, I finally had a USB falsh drive, not knowing that you could directly transfer the ISO file to the USB falsh drive without using any software from MCT.

@NavyLCDR came up with it, that it was better to download the ISO via MCT and put it directly on the USB falsh drive. This which I immediately implemented. however, we were more than 5 pages farther about USB falsh drive that I didn't have yet and / or had ever worked with in my life.

    So what to follow?

In the second topic I wrote, I indicated that my memory works slowly, and that everything should be converted from English to the Dutch language, which takes a lot of time and hoping that I understand.

And yet I have each followed their created options in every topic. I also search as I indicated on page 8 for a response from @NavyLCDR I also came across Rufus software that I already had, and used a number of pages before, however, it never appeared that you should not use the software.

Why is that topic with a complete description of Rufus described in 1 topic how to use that ???

Despite that fact, I then used MCT, went much faster than using software to transfer the ISO to the USB falsh drive. Apart from that fact, I suddenly discovered that with a totally bare Windows 7 the ISO file turns out to be a 14GB smaller than that when you download this with a completely installed Windows 7.

The whole comes down to this.

Once specified, do not use software to transfer the ISO file to DVD or USB falsh drive because that does not work or is reliable. It is better to purchase a USB falsh drive, and download the ISO file via MCT and place it on the USB falsh drive (which I did not know before). Then it would be done and a lot of topics would have been saved.

However, now the final step was the partitioning of the USB falsh drive. what I will come back to later, this which I will no longer do.

I will not even return to the number of GB differences of an ISO download with a bare Windows 7 and a completely installed Windows 7. Given that the number of GB more must still indicate something that you obviously do not work with a clean installation of Windows 10.

Gave the right information from the start, however, as I mentioned earlier, I had never worked with a USB Flash drive or had it in house and therefore had no access to it.

I had to make do with a DVD-RW which simply never worked, and that where my first topic went because I didn't understand why I got that error even through MCT.

However, after I came back to this forum, I saw that at least 3 to 4 pages had been written about formatting the Flash drive in NTFS or in FAT. It is understandable that I get confused by all the information that suddenly appeared.

But it is a good thing, the information I have executed as instructed and everything works as it should now.

Years ago, I used ImgBurn to create bootable Windows DVDs.

I have just partitioned a 64-GB USB drive by using DiskPart.
    Code:
    DISKPART> List volume

Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
      ---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
      Volume 0 Z DVD-ROM 0 B No Media
Volume 1 C Windows 10 NTFS Partition 80 GB Healthy Boot
Volume 2 Recovery NTFS Partition 528 MB Healthy
Volume 3 D Data NTFS Partition 385 GB Healthy
Volume 4 FAT32 Partition 99 MB Healthy System
Volume 5 E Device NTFS Removable 7387 MB Healthy
      Volume 6 F EXTRA FAT32 Removable 22 GB Healthy
Volume 7 J Windows ISO NTFS Removable 6153 MB Healthy
      Volume 8 I Removable 0 B No Media
Volume 9 G RAW Removable 32 GB Healthy

    DISKPART> Select volume G

Volume 9 is the selected volume.

    DISKPART> Clean

DiskPart succeeded in cleaning the disk.

    DISKPART> Create partition primary size=32768

DiskPart succeeded in creating the specified partition.

    DISKPART> Format FS=FAT32 quick

      100 percent completed

    DiskPart successfully formatted the volume.

    DISKPART> Active

DiskPart marked the current partition as active.

    DISKPART> Create partition primary

DiskPart succeeded in creating the specified partition.

    DISKPART> Format FS=NTFS quick

      100 percent completed

    DiskPart successfully formatted the volume.

    DISKPART> Assign letter=L:

DiskPart successfully assigned the drive letter or mount point.

The first partition is FAT32. The second is NTFS.
