    @bobkn

Thank you for the extensive information about the USB flash drive.

The USB flash drive will only be used to extract Windows 10 ISO on a USB flash drive, and therefore only to install Windows 10 on the hard disk.

This USB flash drive is not used to start up Windows 10.

If you wish to boot from a USB flash drive in a UEFI system, it must be formatted as FAT32.
I'll have to add I've yet to format a USB drive when creating a USB boot drive. Perhaps the ones I buy are already pre-formatted. Or perhaps the Media Creation Tool already does it. I just know I've yet to need to format one.

And the ones I buy are SanDisk flash drives such as this one

The asus motherboard m4a88t-m/usb3 can handel the USB 3.0 Flash Drive, so thats a good thing. So the SanDisk Ultra CZ48 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Transfer Speeds Up To 100MB/s-SDCZ48-032G-UAM46 is for this than the right one

The price of the SanDisk Ultra CZ48 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive is very cheap

If you wish to do a clean install of Windows 10, you have to boot from the USB drive.

The topic was a 128GB flash drive.

I have some that large and larger, but I have no idea what their original formats were. I format them as NTFS so that I can copy files larger than 4GB onto them.

Yep a clean install I want, and just what @sygnus21 says, you need the UEFI system what is not on the PC, that was the reason that I good not install Windows 10

That was something that I did not understand

    Sounds good.

I'm not sure that USB 3.0 will speed things up a lot over USB 2.0, but it should be good. (The USB 3 controller seems to not be a third paty add-on, so it should work OK with a bootable USB drive.)

Doesn't matter the drive. Anyway I don't format mine unless I have a specific need to do so.

Well tomorrow I go again to the city to buy the 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive, today they cannot give me the right information about that one at all. But I will see that is it go fast enough on the 3.0 USB ore I try it also on the 2.0 an d will see what happens.

Sometimes it takes some time to understand things what is meant and how certain parts must be executed under errors. I am used to installing only from DVD and never from a USB Flash drive

Sorry. That may already have been covered.

The m4a88t-m/usb3 is a 10 year old motherboard, and I believe that it is not a UEFI one.

I suppose that means that the USB flash drive doesn't need to be FAT32. It'll have to be prepared as a bootable drive which you'll get if you follow the tutorial here. Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10 (Try not to be intimidated. There's a lot of detail in the tutorial, perhaps of more interest to experts than most users.)
