Not booting after merging non allocated space with c drive-Windows 10

    Hello Friends,

Decided to upgrade my hard drive to 1TB ssd, cloned the old drive, and copied to the new 1TB crucial mx500 ssd(Didn't aware that i have to partition the new drive!) All went well the system working but the hard drive had a c drive and the rest said un allocated space.

Using Accronics true image software i merged the un allocated partition with the c drive!! And changed c drive as primary drive, system didnt boot after that.

After a bit of search i understand the small partition is the boot partition so its should be the primary, so removed the hard drive form the laptop and attached to another laptop through connector and managed to change the primary drive as the small partition,

Even after doing this now the system is not booting at all. even tried esc key or F8 key to go bios. But no help.

Does have the installation cd windows 7 ultimate, unless there is no option don't wanna go the pain taking process off installing windows 7 ultimate then upgrade to windows 10.not sure now its possible without paying!!

what will be the best options?

    Asus G74sx laptop i7 16gb Ram

    Thank you

Why not redo the clone but more carefully?

Do have the installation cd windows 7 ultimate,
Once Win 10 has been activated, you can clean install it as many times as you like. No license key needed- activation status is held on MS's servers for your hardware.

Also is the drive MBR or GPT and are you booting with a Legacy BIOS or UEFI?

Thank you, i am an idiot, once the system working after clone, i formatted the old drive and copied some spare files to it! Later i found out the non allocated space and decided to merge! not knowing whats the result.

Thank you about installation windows,,my last steps will be that ..thought ask you guys experts here first.

F8 is effectively redundant in Win 10 for this.

To access the BIOS, Asus typically use F2.

"And changed c drive as primary drive, system didnt boot after that."
--- Does that mean the original primary drive wasn't C?
--- If so, what was it?

Also according to my notes (unfortunately I don't have the source) F9 or Del can be used as the BIOS key.
