Not booting after merging non allocated space with c drive-Windows 10

You say the system won't boot - are you getting an error messsage?

I would complain to Crucial about Accronics true image software if it comes via Crucial.

Since you bought a new larger ssd, of course you`re gonna have unallocated space on the new ssd.

You should copy ALL of the partitions on the old over to the new, get it booting, then play with it.

As already mentioned, you do not have to install W7 again, just clean install W10 (if you want) and use the W7 key to activate W10.

In my opinion, your new ssd is gonna be a mess because your partitions will be all over the place.

Thank you, Did a complete clone to new 1TB ssd(Didn't format and partitioned before copying,that ended up leaving the un allocated space) system worked after that,later i found that large space is there as un allocated! So decided to merge the un allocated space ,after merging it's not booting or not going to bios etc.

As you mentioned if i do a clean install of windows 10 from downloading from Microsoft website and use my key to activate,then do i have to manually install all the necessary driver accordingly? (This is the scary bit, finding the latest drivers and installing in order,if the order is not correct the it may mess up!-Read in ROG forum) or windows will find automatically the drivers and install?

To be safe side i thought, worst case i will install windows 7 and drivers with the installation cd 's the laptop came with then upgrade to windows 10?

No bro, Crucial doesn't supply that software.

Just blank screen! Will try the tutorial and take shot as you mentioned.

You do not have to install drivers in any special order.

You install the OS, then you worry about drivers.

So, i have to format completely ,then partition it( Hope Macrium software does this?) then install windows 10? Right..I have to find all the drivers need for this laptop in Asus forum so that i know i have everything to go after OS installation. Thank you.
