    I would like to thank those of you that rsponded so helpfully. I still have no idea what this password thing was about! However, I could sign in with my PIN as usual. Reset and fresh install did not work from within Windows as I explained in one of my threads. I was, however, able to produce an ISO file on a DVD and I used this to do a fresh install. I have retained the ISO dvd and also produced a Windows Repair CD using the newly installed Windows 10. I think these would have been invaluable if I had them when my problems started so I suggest everyone else does the same thing. Hey ho!

    Use the DVD for a Frisbee, use USB flash drives in the future. Smaller, take up less room when storing and much faster than a DVD.
