Yeah, I would agree to just try it with the 4GB. Upgrade later if all works satisfactory.
The specs for the Pavilion 2000-219DX says it uses PC3-8500/10600 DDR3 SDRAM SODIMM 204 pin. It can use a max of 8GB. There are 2 slots. So to upgrade you would have to trash one or two 2GB modules and replace them with 4GB modules.
You'd probably only find those online or in a computer repair shop.

I think you guys are wondering off topic --the OP wanted to get Windows BACK on a PC which presumably had it on it originally --discussions over RAM etc just obfuscate the issue.
Apart from the (to me it seems at any rate) the totally Bonkers idea of lending a PC that you use as your only machine to a 3rd party --whoever it is) it shows again and again the absolute necessity of taking regular system backups --with things like Free Macrium available -- which can also boot from USB device etc --there is absolutely NO REASON NOT TO TAKE BACKUPS --We've all said this ad Nauseam on these Forums and still people don't seem to get the idea.
However if that PC has a Windows COA sticker on it then you should be able do to a W10 install using the COA number (Windows serial number) --provided the computer had at least an activated version of W7 on it.
As of Yesterday 10 Feb the W7--->W10 free upgrade was still working --I tested it with another VM I needed. Used the W7 serial and activation was fine.
Plenty of legit sources for a W10 ISO -- Windows MCT is still working.

Ubuntu and Windows
Been a while, for that I sincerely apologize, there was a death at the very end of Feb. the 29th, (leap year death) so that's taken all the time I have to try to get it sorted out. Not that it's sorted now, but closer.
Wow reading the posts sometimes you all get way out there, ok so to answer the question on everyone's mind, why did I lend out a laptop. First off it was my spare, an extra that I wasn't using so I lent it to a very good friend, her Son then took it and he put Ubuntu on it. Who know why people do things to objects that do not belong to them. If we could figure that little question out things would most likely go much smoother for everyone. It did have Win.7 on it when I lent it out. It has the sticker on the bottom with the numbers on it. The reason I even know about the reload is I had to do it on my Toshiba and the great folks here helped me successfully accomplish that.
So as long as I have my Microsoft account password and the USB with the win10 on it I should be good to go....? Right? As long as 4G is enough memory then I want to try to get it done whenever someone has a minute to let me know I'm on the right path. The only thing I'm not sure of is how to actually begin do I have to get rid of Ubuntu before I try to use the USB, or do I just change it so it boots from the USB the start it with the USB and let it go??
