ASUS P8B75-M LX - Cannot install w10

    Making progress...
    After replacing CMOS battery I have been able to install w10 v1909 x64 in UEFI mode. SATA 6GBps port is still broken though.

    That's pretty normal for an X86 installation.

    Incidentally, there's another typo: I presume that your new HDD is 1TB, rather than 1GB.

    Yes, indeed. 1 TB. Corrected.

    Now 3,67GB out of 4GB useable. I will continue installation in a moment.

    I found the culprit AT LAST!!!

    It was the power connector which was either bad or not supplying enough juice.
    That is why S.M.A.R.T. attribute "Spin retry count" was increasing for a newly hd. That is also why hard disk was slow and failed randomly and made the same clicking noise when you plug an usb hard disk in an usb port without enough power.
