Can you install windows 10 pro instead of windows 10 home?  

Can you install windows 10 pro instead of windows 10 home? I have a full version product key for windows 10 but when i try to install windows 10 the option to check isnt there and i when i modify an ei file and place it in the source folder on the usb of the windows 10 media i get non sense of counterfeiting which i didnt even type the product key yet and the windows 10 media to install windows is downloaded from microsofts website.

So is it possible to install windows 10 pro during a clean install of windows when windows 10 home is embedded on the motherboard of a computer?

Yes. Create a text file containing:

[Channel]
Retail

Name the file as ei.cfg and place it in the sources folder in the install media.This will make Setup skip looking for a key in the bios and ask you which edition to install.

Or you could just let it install Home then upgrade the installed key to your Pro one, the end result will be the same.
