Why does my PC Freeze when booting to Windows USB?

So, I am trying to install a fresh clean copy of Windows. I just created the Media Tool on a 16GB USB Drive. It just freezes at the Republic of Gamers logo.

rebuild the usb after running chkdisk on it .
Try a different usb port (seems to work best on a 2.0 port)

What version of Windows 10 are you on now and what version is the USB drive you are trying to install?

Run winver from a run box for your current version. What is on the USB you should know since you downloaded it. If not, you can run the following from a Command Prompt against the USB drive.

    1. Plug the USB drive in, note the drive letter assigned to it:
    2. Open a Command Prompt.
    3. Run

    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:X:\sources\install.esd /index:1
    OR
    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:X:\sources\install.wim /index:1

Replace X with the drive letter of the USB drive.

You may want to try this method for creating a bootable thumb drive. This method works for me on everything I have ever tried (BIOS, UEFI, 32-bit, 64-bit).

Create bootable USB installer if install.wim is greater than 4GB
