migrated OS, now strange partition and un-usable E drive

I just upgraded my Motherboard, CPU, RAM, and OS drive. I used a migration software called MiniTool Partition Wizard to migrate the OS from my SSD to the new NVME drive. For some reason, I now have a 398MB LocalDisk E drive I can't see in disk management, and a 1.76 GB partition on the NVME disk that I can't do anything with. disk management won't let me extend the C: partition.

I'd like to get rid of both of these so i can have that 1.76 GB back to the drive space, and I want to make the now "I" drive back into the E drive as it was before i did this upgrade.

I noticed the C: partition on Disk 5 is not "Active" after trying to do some research for this. I followed some other instructions to go through diskpart in cmd prompt and found that this partition is not MBR.

Pics for reference, signature is updated. Thanks for any help!

Windows Version Number: Version 1903 Build 18362.476

You can use Minitool to add the unallocated 1.76 to C. Windows Disk Management can't do it because that 400 MB EFI partition is in the way.

really? i didnt know it worked linearly like that. do you know how to do that in minitool? i've never used it before and i only got it to migrate the OS

    here's what Minitool shows:

It's been a couple of years since I used Minitool, so I can't give you specific steps.

But it's quite intuitive. I'd just highlight that 1.76 unallocated and see what I could do with right clicks or from menus. Look for something that will give you a choice on where to add it.

You might also have luck with highlighting C and seeing if you can get to the right choice with right clicks or menus.

The Wizard menu might be useful?

NOTHING will actually happen until you hit that "apply" button at the upper left.

Yeah, Windows Disk Management is a bit crippled on partition management, but it's generally useful.

I think that E partition of 400 MB, FAT 32 is placed there by Windows on a GPT disk.

I've got a FAT32 partition on my primary drive, but it's only 100 MB and does NOT have a drive letter.

I wouldn't be concerned with the size of the FAT32, but I'm not sure why it has a drive letter in your case.

i'm sorry, but those didn't help.

however, i did figure it out. i used minitool to set about 8 pending operations in the right order and it worked. this is an awesome tool!

if i remember right, i deleted the 16mb partition, resized the C: partition to have like 100gb free space, then resized the E: partition, then i think i went to resize it again and it added in the 1.76 GB unallocated space, then resized the C: partition to take up all other allocated space, then rename the E: to something else.

not sure if that's all the steps i did, because i was just messing around and didnt think it'd work, but it did. i like how you can set operations in order they are to happen, and then this reboots and does it.

so I think that space WAS a recovery partition like ignatzatsonic shows in his picture. do i need that partition, should i recreate it?
