    Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home 64 bit

    My son’s computer is running Windows 7 64 bit and I want to upgrade it to Windows 10 Home 64 bit. Of course I want to spend as little as possible for the license/upgrade and I found a couple on eBay that are pretty cheap Error Page | eBay
    and Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 Bit Full Version | Brand New | eBay

    Are these licenses legit and will let me upgrade to Windows 10?

    How would free suit you? You don't need to buy a key, you can still upgrade for free.

    @All

    Be aware the link in the OP points to an illegitimate product.

    The part number starting with X18 is for Windows 8.1 Besides, I do not think MS has ever released a DVD version of Win 10.

    Thanks that’s why I was asking if it was legit but doesn’t matter I would rather have free anyway. Apparently the free upgrade still works so that’s great hopefully if I just follow the tutorial it will go smoothly.

    I’m not sure I will have to check but my son might have Windows 7 Pro is that going to make a difference in the upgrade?

    No, the upgrade will be to whatever version the Windows 7 is entitled to. W7 Starter/Home/Home Premium get Windows 10 Home, W7 Pro/Ultimate get W10 Pro.

    They do, but they are only for OEM System Builders.

    For the upgrade you can download to the desktop or create a bootable flash drive.

    To increase the likelihood of success perform the following steps:

    1) Uninstall all antivirus software using the applicable uninstall tool.
    (This includes Microsoft Security Essentials)

    2) Uninstall all firewall software

    3) Uninstall any non-Microsoft encryption software

    4) Place the computer into clean startup:

    5) Perform an in place upgrade repair:
