Upgraded to 1903 but it still 1809

Upgraded to version 1903 on my Acer laptop (which came with Windows 10 Home 1809). After everything completed and rebooted, I checked the version in Settings and it still shows version 1809, but the Updates display offers the next release 1909. I used another utility to check and it also displays 1809. So, I am not sure what to do next. Any suggestions please?

You can execute Winver command from Start Menu to view Windows 10 version installed on your laptop.

That is what I am offered now on the Settings\Update & Security page. But, is it stable? Is it worth taking a risk on a machine that I need? I cannot figure out why didn't update to 1903?

Every new release of Windows 10 upgrade will have bugs i cannot say 1909 version bug free.

Then, I would be safer to download 1903 ISO. I am tired to be MS's guinea pig. I need this laptop so that I can be on the move and still work.

You can try Windows 10 Media Creation tool to download 1903 ISO but Microsoft released 1909 version.
