Migrate Windows 10 to New Laptop

I'll be transferring from a PC with standard HDDs to one with an M2 boot drive and it will also have a different Graphics card.
Both will be on Windows 10 Home.
Will the Restore from the Old PC backup be able to sort out the correct Drivers?

In real life, it was between two different laptops, and I think they were even AMD/Intel different. Daughter's laptop screen had issues. Removed the SSD from it and moved it over to a spare laptop. Windows 10 starts up, takes a couple minutes booting with an initial screen that says something like initializing new hardware. Loads the new drivers and runs just fine. Then when her laptop got back from being repaired under warranty by the manufacturer, moved the SSD back to the original laptop and Windows repeated the same process again.

I've also done it experimentally between legacy BIOS and UEFI desktop computers and IDE v. AHCI SATA controller modes. That's how I know to delete the driver under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers in device manager when switching from IDE to AHCI. Moving from Legacy BIOS to UEFI you should (but don't have to) set the target drive to GPT instead of MBR. Restore you backup image, and then in most cases create a FAT32 EFI System Partition. I like to leave 100 MB at the front of the drive unallocated during the image restore to reserve room for the EFI System Partition.

Yes, I've done this multiple times. As Kyhi posted, make a backup image of the new computer first, and I do recommend using DISM to export the drives of the new computers in case there is unusual hardware that Windows won't supply a driver for.
