no errors, i got a blue "updating" screen that got to about 57% then it closed and went back to the desktop, saying something had gone wrong and the error code was as above.
no errors in device manager.
i assumed that download that the link gave me would be stored somewhere so i could just try it again?
1) Run setupdiag > post a share link using one drive, drop box, or google drive
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...rade/setupdiag
2) There are log collectors used in another forum room.
Run each V2 and DM and upload into this thread:
BSOD - Posting Instructions
That's great.
Please run the log collector to collect non bsod files
I experienced almost the same situation attempting to update v1803 17134.1130 to v1903 which failed with same error code. Disabled the Comodo firewall to no avail. Ran the suggested diagnostics and scans. Finally went with the Media Creation Tool which updated to v1909 18363.476. The update borked the Comodo firewall into an intermittent state. Uninstall/reinstall recovered firewall ops but lost all my existing firewall rules/rule sets +.
The joy of this tech that supposedly makes my life easier![]()
Hi, consider:

If you have a disk image created when your rules existed, you could potentially recover them using an offline registry editor.
Thanks Dalchina. Uninstall gives 2 options, one of which is to retain rules which I chose to believe. I'll dig further to see if I can recover anything. I have a Reflect image available. Is it possible to pick nits from it?
You can retrieve any file from a mounted image file, so you can extract the registry files and folders.
You can research offline registry editing- I'd expect there's a way to get the info back.
