    Well glad to see it all finally worked out..
    I always use DISM to apply the image as it is a lot quicker then running Setup
    Yes, thanks to the concerted efforts of yourself and others here, I finally made it!

    Now when 19009 comes out - you can just format D - and apply new image
    no need to use BCDboot as that OS partition is already registered
    And you think I'm gonna trust this silly SSD drive to do what it's supposed to do? Maybe, but I'm not so sure.

    Remember that even after DISM finally worked, I still got:
    We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information see the Setup Log files.

    that is because you removed two partitions 5 & 6
    and then did not reboot PC to refresh disk status..

    you used single index install.wim - I assumed multi-index install.wim

    you used Powershell - I assumed Command Prompt

    your SSD was not an issue - nor should it be

    ===> Don't have to, He deleted 5,6 then re-created so everything was in sequence

    ====> True
    you used Powershell - I assumed Command Prompt
    ====> Again, does not matter. Look at post #70

    @Wynona
    FYI, I use at least 6 Samsung SSD's for myself and friends and none gave me any problem. Samsung is not gonna do anything for you because this is software problem. You can verify the disk by running Crystal Disk Info as shown below, I installed LINUX and Windows on the same disk (Drive M: and H:)

    I see a different command structure between your PS and Cmd
    Although I'll also admit - I do not use Powershell

    1. After restart, it told me the same as it had before; couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one.
    2. Stopped install and yanked flash drive.
    3. Booted up and I was given a choice of booting to Windows 10 on Volume 6 or Volume 7; I chose 7.
    4. Rebooted again and I was given a choice between Windows 10 on Volume 4 and Volume 5; I chose 5.
    5. Things progressed pretty normally from there, and I now have Windows 10 Build 19008.1 installed.
    We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information see the Setup Log files.
    Because Partition 6 & 7 did not exist - thus the message that it could not create or find partition

    Yeah, I vaguely remember being asked about PowerShell replacing Command. So, can I have both? If so, how do I do it?
    Late response after all the other good replies, sorry.

    If you are in Powershell and need a Command Prompt for something, just type CMD and enter. Exit out of the Command Prompt and you're back in Powershell.

    There's no difference. I open the command in Source folder so I did not have to use the whole path
