Laptop w/32 GB Drive - Not Room to Update

    16GB may be enough since you said "Maybe it'll give her the 8 GB she needs freed up". Worth a try.

    Here is a link to a recent post where someone else had the same problem and used a SD card to do the upgrade.

    Thanks, Truker! I just looked in my Kindle and found a 32 GB micro, so that should work! Gonna try that right now!

    I've been so busy I haven't had time to try anything yet.

    Back to the drawing board. Nothing popped up and although it recognizes the micro SD, I don't see how to use it for updating.

    I've never had to do it, but I believe the upgrade/update, when it gets to the point where it needs space, will prompt you at that point. If the SD card is in, you should be able to choose it then.

    Thanks, now she has 2 sources for basically the same thing. That should cover it.
