Upgrade from 1511 "Windows 10 installation has failed" Dism fails too

So I'm trying to upgrade this version of Windows 10 1511 build 10586.1176 and no matter whether I disable internet, delete the old $WINDOWS.~BT directory contents, or any other number of common solutions it continues to fail to upgrade. I've tried to use different versions, tried DISM and it fails with "the source files could not be found" DISM Error 0x800F081F regardless of whether I use the internet or point to the proper install.wim.
I've attached copies of the setuperr.log and the dism.log. Hope someone can shed some light on this issue, thanks in advance!

I've tried installing 1703 up to 1903, they all fail, note that I attached the setuperr.log hoping someone would analyze it to see why the upgrade installs fail. DISM was just to repair the image but that's failing too. I've mounted ISO, extracted and run from folder, and tried running from USB.

In cases where even sfc/scannow and DISM fail to complete a repair, then the next step should be to try an in-place repair upgrade with an ISO of the version you currently have installed. This will reinstall Windows while keeping all your installed apps and files, and most of your settings.

As you referred to '"the proper install.wim" it would appear you already have an ISO for 1511 that you could use.

As Bree commented please perform an in place upgrade repair with the iso that matches the installed version.

Please run it while in clean boot and after the uninstallation of any non-Microsoft antivirus, firewall, and drive encryption.

3) open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste: (repair file system)
chkdsk /r /v 
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight

4) open administrative command prompt and copy and paste: (repair operating system)
sfc /scannow 
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth 
When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

5) update windows (have all recommended updates installed) and reboot after updates

6) List and uninstall all non-Microsoft antivirus software
(This includes always on and manual software.)
(This includes running the applicable antivirus uninstall tools for any AV that could have been incompletely uninstalled)

7) List and uninstall all non-Microsoft firewall software

8) List all Microsoft and non-Microsoft drive encryption software. 
Uninstall all non-Microsoft disk encryption software

9) Run disk cleanup to clean temporary and system files

10) Verify that the drive has > 30 GB free space (At least 25 GB is needed for creating dumps)

11) Place the computer in clean boot:

12) Detach all SATA devices other than the disk drive that has the Windows operating system
(Make sure that the only disk drive that is attached to the computer at the time of the upgrade attempt is the disk drive containing Windows)

Thanks guys, I am pretty sure I used the same version of 1511 to try an in-place as well, attempting to search for another ISO to try again. Did all that removal of drivers as well as clean-boot and that never helped. Ran setupdiag and it states:

I did manage to use the ISO for 1511 but strangely enough when I ran /get-wiminfo it claimed it was a technical preview, I'm attempting to get the home/pro version. Winver states that I have "Windows 10 1511 build 10586.1176" which version would properly coincide with my version? So far I can only find Threshold 2 10586.0/.104/.164. TIA

I'm assuming 1511 10586.0 since that's what DISM shows when I'm running it. That's what's downloading now.

That could explain why DISM said "the source files could not be found", when you get a new ISO I'd try DISM again. You may not need an in-place upgrade repair.

Your 1511 build 10586.1176 is the build of the October 10 2017 cumulative update, the last one before 1511 reached end of service.
