    Hi folks

    @Barman58

    You can get it on UUPDUMP if you want to "have a go with it" and it's 387. I'm using Workstations edition though but can't see why W10 Pro wouldn't also be available.

    OK not the "recommended" way via WU but if you want to play with it then it installs just fine -- download the features update -- i.e the latest one on the UUPDUMP site.

    My feel on this is that it performs really well -- although I did a New install and just have Ms Office 2019 and Firefox installed. Will load it up with Photoshop, SAPGUI (access corporate SAP systems),Hardware video capture device, VMWare WKS and one or two other bits and pieces and will try and "stress test it" including using the WSL and running 2 or 3 Linux VM's on it concurrently.

    Cheers

    It is....

    After updating with UUP, I now have 1909! Yahoo!
    No known bugs here. Also, no major changes.

    I am wondering if they sent v1909 out to a selected area last week to see if any problems would arise. We got it on several different computers here in our local computer club room. They will probably sent it out for real tomorrow.

    Sudden thought- if 1909 is a CU not a feature update (is it indeed?), then what's the update sequence for someone coming from, say, 1809 to 1909?

    1809>1903 via full WU, then 1903>1909 via CU. Subject to being wrong, of course.

    My thoughts on updating older revisions

    The version being offered in the Autumn (fall) is to be mainly a bug fix, but some features may also be altered or added, Not as many as has been previously but it is more of a hybrid between a feature upgrade and a Bug Fix Update than a regular "Bug Fix Update"

    I would have to assume that someone running an older revision of Windows 10 would be updated using just the installer for 1909, as I am assuming that the 1909 Download will be capable of installing to a bare disk, If the upgrade is through WU I would assume that the process would install the latest revision of all the changes from the Base install being upgraded

    A totally forced manual install (Upgrade) of 1909, where Microsoft does not consider the system ready / suitable would possibly need a step by step approach installing the intermediate Revisions, correcting these, to work with the system, and then moving on to the next . In this case a fresh install would possibly be the best way, but may be rejected for the reasons for Microsoft deciding not to upgrade

    Related: presumably there would be a 1909 iso... or put another way, how do you perform an in-place upgrade repair install of 1909?

    Oh, and by the way, your pic has your email in it. Might want to get rid of that.
