The latest 387 works just perfectly for me -- I did a clean install -- about time I did one to get rid of all the old garbage that accumulates in Windows installations over time. The only thing I needed to do extra was to run the command to install net 3.5 as I still have a couple of things that need it.

This build seems to really work like greased lightning if installed clean and on a decent SSD.

Hopefully 1909 Released prior to Real Life Moving Time lol at end of October hopefully, as rather get the systems updated when I know I have internet, the new place gonna have to reconfigure a few things, hopefully cable jacks in upstairs room, as really want Modem and Router near Desktop PC so it can be wired

I don't wanna panic if Update releases during the move, and i'm trying to hurry to get everything resetup and systems updated. if need be i'll use my Cell Phone hotspot if comes to it as long as Desk gets setup in spot want it lol, and such

Last thing before you pack it all up and head to wherever you're heading to, Defer Updates.

well last time did a move, internet was setup the very next day after move in, hopefully this time can just take Modem/Router, and Cable boxes, and self install the items, and hopefully that goes well. Rather not Defer Updates if at all possible, never have in the past LOL

Usually update soon as an update comes out lol, force of habit I always had since Windows XP days lol

A question here for the 1909 ers .

It was noted with the last updates that the install didn't like an SD card
or external drive attached to the computer .

Has this been fixed or did you have to unplug the externals and eject the sd beforehand?

The problem you are asking about was presumably the inability of the initial release of 1903 to do an in-place upgrade while any USB/SD drive was attached. That issue was resolved with build 18362.116 and the MCT now produces updated media without this bug. There's no reason to expect that this bug would return with 1909 media.
