I give up on this laptop. W10 cannot be installed, period.

Last thing I tried was launching installation from within w7. It gave me an error about something "on safe_os boot operation".

Appears that if you remove the Wifi card before install, it installs. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...6c43ffd?page=4

    Good day.

I could try that, provided wifi card is easily accessable.

Damnation. You have to remove all of back cover to access wifi card. I think I will pass. Is there any way of telling w10 installation to ignore all connectiviy options?

So it's general consensus that this Broadcom 802.11n card doesn't work at all on w10. Talk about compatibility.

Well wifi cards are relatively cheap. If its only an "N" card it needs upgrading anyway.

That system is staying with original Windows 7 for now. I have already told my customer that Windows 7 will reach EOL support next year.
