    Clean Install Partitions Query

My laptop has become somewhat slow to login and switch between accounts. I want to do a clean install. See the partition map below. The 500GB SSD has two main partitions - C: for system files and X: for backups. I'm happy to wipe C: and the other system partitions but want to retain X:. What options do I select when doing a clean install to preserve drive / partition X:

You simply delete all the partitions except X, don`t do anything to it.

Then to start the install, make sure you highlight the unallocated space you`ve just created and click next, and the install will begin.

    Clean Install Windows 10

When you get to this page, delete all the partitions except for X, leave it alone.

It will be the last partition, on the bottom. Just do not delete it.

After 3 years of installing / uninstalling various programs, I want to start afresh. I did have a Reflect image of the laptop's clean install from 3 years ago but the USB portable drive containing that data died last week That will teach me to keep 2 copies of important backups.
