Windows 10 Version 1903 showing Win 7 Ultimate SP1 on License Page

    Hi,
I wanted to upgrade my PC to latest Windows 10 version 1903. I was facing continuous error through windows automatic updates. So I decided to download ISO file and then create a bootable USB disc to install Windows 10 1903. I downloaded ISO file using Media Creation Tool 1903 from the official website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/soft...load/windows10). Then I burned the ISO file on to a USB device using Windows USB/DVD tool. Now here comes the most confusing part for me. During installation I followed each and every step but the 'License terms page' says Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (screenshot below).

I checked the installation media to confirm this using Power shell command (screenshot below) and it also says Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1.

What the hell it is? Am I missing something? Or Is there a glitch at Microsoft Website or the Media Creation Tool? Did I downloaded the iso file of Windows 7 Ultimate SP1? Kindly tell me whats the problem here. I don't want to waste my time by installing Win 7 SP1 and then again reverting it to Windows 10.

Looks like it is one of those aio/customized win7 things floating around on tinternet. You need to get win10 installation media.

It appears that rather than the ISO you just made with the MCT you have accidentally burned an ISO you may have previously got from:

Your independent advisor thinks "...you have malware they may be redirecting to the torrent site."

I think the problem may be related to your statement in that thread that "...I used Microsoft Windows USB/DVD tool to burn the ISO image on to the USB device.". As far as I am aware, that tool is specifically for use with Win7 ISOs.

There is no need to use any tool to make a Windows 10 install USB from the ISO created by the Media Creation Tool. First, mount the ISO you made with the MCT then check that it does indeed contain Windows 10 using the Dism /Getwiminfo command.

Then when you are sure you have the correct ISO mounted, use Diskpart to prepare the USB, then copy the files from the ISO to the USB. Follow the steps described in Option Four here:

Bree, the OP is currently running win 7 so there is no option to mount the iso downloaded.

    Saad,
Follow this instructions to install Win 10 as UEFI-GPT Download Windows 10 ISO File
    - Download Media Creation Too
    - Run Media Creation Tool. Select Create installation media
    - Uncheck the Use the recommended options for this PC box. (Leaving the Use the recommended options for this PC box checked will have the Media Creation Tool download an ISO that's the same language, edition, and architecture as the current PC.)
    - Select Win 10 64 bits
    - Don't select USB disk. Select iso. Download the win10 iso file to the computer.
    - Format a USB flash disk (at least 8G) as FAT32.
    - Extract the iso files and folders to the USB flash disk. If you don't have program to extract files from iso I recommend 7zip

    To do a fresh install:
    - Save all your data to an external disk
    - boot from the USB flash disk as UEFI, go to install, select Pro - advanced and delete all partitions and proceed.
    - When asked, insert your win 7 ultimate key.

To "upgrade" from Win 7 Ultimate to win 10 pro (not recommended), from running win 7, launch setup on the USB flash disk.

Download and install USBCDEmu on Win 7 and you can then mount the ISO and run setup.exe just as you do on Win 8, 8.1 and 10.
