Help me get back from 1903 to 1809 - SB2 DGPU issue

I`ve got a Surfacebook 2 on 1903 and have been affected by the DGPU issue. I want to roll back to 1809 in order to get my GDPU back working again.

Can someone please guide me on how to get hold of a copy of the installer for 1809? the rollback option in settings is long gone, so I need to perform a manual install.

    Cheers.

Please search for Heidoc iso downloader and use that tool.

Note that you will be doing a clean install (deleting all existing partitions related to the OS- you can keep any data partitions), so back up appropriately.

How could you avoid this? Use disk imaging routinely as is so often recommended here.
If you did so, and still had a disk image of your OS partition for 1809, you could restore your partition to exactly how it was- including programs and data on it- when you create the image. Downside- you'd then need to update personal data from a backup of current data, for example.

Note you will have to take appropriate steps to stop the system updating to 1903.

SurfaceBook 2 with GDPU had a block placed on it for 1903 upgrade:
Windows 10 May 2019 Update block placed on Surface Book 2 with dGPU | Windows Central

    What you need to know

Microsoft has placed a new upgrade block on the Windows 10 May 2019 Update.
The block prevents the update from being automatically installed on Surface Book 2
devices with an NVlDIA discrete GPU.

A compatibility issue prompted the block, but there is a workaround for those who have
    already installed the update
