Hi Kari. This is what dism /Get-WimInfo shows about the Win 10 Pro install.wim I built.
Add the description and try again. See this post: Create media for automated unattended install of Windows 10

I cannot explain why this happens to you. As I mentioned in my previous post, I've been testing this now for couple of days. I have no issues in using custom image without description in unattended install.

Working on it now. I think I may have found the cause, will post results in a couple hours.

I think the problem is the ISO I'm starting with somehow. I'm trying this one now:

    Win10_1903_18362.239_Multi_x64_esd.iso

The autounattend.xml part seems to be working. I'm at 45% of Getting files ready for installation, so the No image problem did seem to be caused by the ISO I started with. I used a esd version downloaded via the MCT and so far so good.

    OOBE next.

I did add the description this time so Name and Description say Windows 10 Pro.

Edit: Made it all the way with no input request other than change password on 1st boot. Worked perfectly. Made a flash drive and will try it out at the shop on real hardware tomorrow.

Good to know you got it working.

I did a few more tests today, I have no issues in using a custom image without index / edition description in unattended install. I have not a faintest clue why it is / was causing issues for OP and you.

I really don't know what I did differently other than using a ESD based multi ISO to setup the reference system. Whatever it was, it worked perfectly on real hardware today at the shop so I'm very happy. Took about 30 minutes from boot of the flash drive to final, customized desktop.

Thanks again for your tutorial, help and guidance.

Next is to work on a UEFI setup.

Can I use the unattend.xml OOBE file without change since it works correctly and does exactly what I want it to do?
    What about install.wim?
Seems like the only change I need to make is to autounattend.xml.

Yes, only difference in BIOS and UEFI setups is the partitioning done in autounattended.xml. Install image is the same, as is the OOBE.

So load the catalog, follow the UEFI directions, save the autounattend.xml file and I should be ready to go.

No way to test it at home as I'm not going to use my working Desktop to experiment with. I'll see what I have available hardware wise next week.

A second generation Hyper-V virtual machine is UEFI system with GPT partitioning, excellent test machine for unattended UEFI installation.

I didn't realize that. Checked and Oracle VB also has EFI support. Just installing Pro as EFI to a GPT disk. WIll see how that goes. Already have the autounattend.xml file ready to go.

    Thanks for another great tip.

I have a working Win 10 Pro X64 UEFI/GPT VM. Is there any way I can boot this into Audit mode or do I need to start over with a fresh install?
