I think restore points are erased when we do updates like Oct.2018 and May 2019
Those from a previous build are completely irrelevant to the new build, so thankfully they are.

Ya it`s best to use Macrium to save images of each version running in tip top shape at the time you made the image.

I always hold on as long as possible to the previous version before updating to the new version.

But 1903 is running great on both of my rigs.

Other than the option to defer Feature Updates showing in Advanced Options in Windows Update, it`s running perfectly fine and fast. (Just a bug in my case)

But I know I have it set to 365 days by changing it from 0 to 365 days in the Registry, so all is well

Maybe it will show up for me again in the next build.

That's the problem with 1903. Why do I have to go and play with registry to keep updates up to 365 days? Honestly, I don't have that knowledge. With 1803 it's easy to choose

You can use the group policy editor.

The issue with 365 days deferral not showing in 1903 is that if you upgrade with a non-zero value there, the problem exists in 1903 because of an MS bug (as you should have discovered by reading the posts by now). What is offered is a fix to overcome that, for which be grateful to the people who worked out how to do that.

vicf1, did you change your font color ?

If so put it back to defaults, can`t read it

I can read your 1st reply fine, it`s white, but your others are all gray, and I use the gray skin .

Ya but that`s just a glitch for me, most other people have the option to defer Feature Updates show up fine for them.

I thought it was removed from 1903 and brought it up in another thread but most people say they have it, and there are others who say they don`t have it either.

As long as you have images you can always go back to what you have now, or just keep using what you have.

Who knows, the option to defer Feature Updates may show up for you just fine.

So, three days later still pretty chuffed with my new 1903 platform. It is running so much stronger than my previous build. I note ppl talk about the "Deferred Updates" option now missing in 1903: I see that this is how life will be from this build onward, i.e. there is no difference with all 1903 builds for updates -The song remains the same; unless you are special and can go play with registry's etc. I was worried I may have screwed up my install but not to worry this is a new build...I think alot of ppl will be quietly surprised with this build compared to when W10 first appeared on planet earth (!). Funny how I was a staunch member of the W7 Forums here for years....I bet the issues are still gonna be the same over there apart from the EOL issue...I had to move on to keep my business digital (Like for like's sakes -no choice) & now I'm here...It's not that bad at all ; > )
