I've installed 1903 on four laptops here. I only had a problem with one, but once the issue was identified (Gigabyte P series laptops will NOT update to 1903 unless you disable secure boot in the BIOS) - the update went like a charm. I used Windows update on 3 computers, but on my zbook I used the Windows Update Assistant, and that also went very smoothly.

Other than the option to defer Feature Updates not being visible in Windows Update, Advanced Options, my 2 updates via the ISO file method went smooth as butter.

I heard that a lot of you guys had problems with 1903 so I'm wondering...

Anyone here actually had a smooth installation with no problems at all? Because I'm not seeing anyone here talking about how smooth their upgrade was.
I have done 76 to date. Make that 81.

You would see millions of reports of no problem 1903 installs if they all posted. Most users don't even know it happened. No issues on any of my 10 or so computers.
I have four computers, 1 Laptop and 3 Desktops all updated with no issues at all.

Well, At least this was better than 1809 that's for sure.

Absolutely no issues with 1903 update at all. I have allowed Windows Update to upgrade me from 1809 to 1903. Ive also clean installed, downloading the ISO using the Media Creation Tool and that method also went smoothly too. As for when running 1903 day to day. The only annoying issue I have is with Windows Defender when it updates the antimalware platform once a month. It will corrupt an SFC scan showing errors. This isn't really a problem unless you like your sfc /scannow routine to always be squeaky clean when you run it. You can just leave it alone and ignore it or repair the corruption with Dism...its your choice. It doesn't have any ill effects at all on your PC even if you don't fix it according to Microsoft. Its something they are going to fix in upcoming versions.
Theres also an annoying VSS error in event viewer that appears intermittently and nobody seems to know why. Again its nothing to worry about.

MS learned their lesson after the flawed first release (then withdrawal) of 1809. 1903 was originally planned to be named the April Update, but it spent a whole extra month in the Insider Release Preview ring before it emerged as the May Update.
