I don't think you do. I stopped using it a while ago.
Now that it's gone, do I just rename this whole Windows10-x64 folder with the suffix "old"?

or is just renaming the iaStorA.sys to iaStorA.sys.old enough?

Have you rebooted since uninstalling it?

No I mean yes, I rebooted after uninstalling it, but not after changing the folder to "old". I will rename the entire folder with a suffix "old" and then reboot - see if that does it.

Maybe there's some residual entries in Registry. If you have ccleaner, you could run that.

changed iaStorA.sys to iaStorA.sys.old, rebooted, still getting the error, so ran ccleaner - nothing in the registry about it at all. I guess I have to install it from Intel. What should I install, do you know?

The MS link takes me here
Download Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology (Intel(R) RST) User Interface and Driver

But there's a newer version. Should I just do the latest version and cross my fingers?

I think I found my answer.....
In the older version, it shows

I updated RST drivers, still get 1903 Update error-image.png

In Device Manager, I see this:

I updated RST drivers, still get 1903 Update error-image.png

So it appears the older version would be good for this system. I think the newer version doesn't support the 6th gen.

Do you agree? Or am I totally confused?
