Hi I have found fix working for me. The reason windows wont update is because it sees old version of the drive, you must go to drivers directory C:\Windows\System32\drivers find old version iastora.sys(thereis old date mine was 2016) and rename it to iastora_old.sys. After that restart the 1903 upgrade with the "fix" button.

OMG! Thank you so much! This is the ONLY fix that worked for me! (and so simple too!) Shame on Microsoft for not addressing this!

I have a similar problem on a Dell AIO Inspiron 3464. Version 1903 won't install due to IRST incompatibility.
I checked at Dell Support at it only indicates a BIOS update, and a wifi card update. What should I do? Hold off? I hate to install drivers that are not coming through Dell, as they may have to be "modified" by Dell first. What do you all think please?

Unless you need RST, uninstall it.

A question popped into my mind when I read this, Swarfega.

Once the computer is updated, can RST then be reinstalled?

What would I need it for? This system has one internal spinner, and 2 external backup spinners....no RAID, so I don't need it at all?

I don't think you do. I stopped using it a while ago.

FWIW, I've quit using it too on non-RAID systems. Doesn't add anything -- except overhead!
