Normally I'll get online for an install, but I must have skipped the Wi-Fi password login that time on my Home machine cause it was too long and laborious, and in the process unknowing dodged what would have otherwise been a most infuriating battle right out of the gate. Sometimes we inadvertently get lucky like that.

Just to complete the research, I have now confirmed that the same bug exists in the 17763.379 install media (the last update to the 1809 MCT).
