    Hi,
    No
MS unless you defer upgrade only goes to 365 days and that's IF you have 10 pro
10 home you'll be auto updated to 1903 so don't bother with any other build.

    Yes, you can.
Download 1809, mount it and run setup
To avoid it from upgrading to new version, install - Sledgehammer 2.6.0 (fantastic tool)
What programs / apps to use to tweak Win 10

    Hi,
For the record 1809 was no prize winner
    1803 was okay.

    Mike,
I haven't seen any Win 10 new release that hasn't a lot of issues. Then M$ releases those updates to fix them.
M$ isn't doing their homework properly.

Win 10 is missing the LTS (Long term service) like most Linux do.
I can see the desperation of those who need the OS to work to have their computers "updated" with a lot of bugs. And when they are fixed, M$ forces a new update with a lot of bugs.

    Hi,
Yep that's why it's sort of pointless to avoid 1903 just wasted energy

Thank you for the great reading material ! this is what I hoped to find. Its so hard to find good reads and info and fixes So THANK YOU !! I appreciate the link to the sledgehammer. I am going to check that out.
I want to become as informed as I can on this subject so I am not going to take what thrasher says lightly I want to find out more why he thinks this. I would hope to be able to avoid the update until I am ready to deal with it.

I am going to keep my win7 setup on a spare SSD so I CAN depend on my computer for work. !

I have Win 7 on a M.2 SSD (128G) that has (win7 + Programs) in 85G partition and Linux in a 43G partition. I moved C:\users to D\users on a HDD. I use it as my main OS.

Win 10 is on another HDD. It's just to keep me updated. I don't like Win 10.

no Megahertz, you are wrong about that.

there are 3 versions of LTS like releases of Win10 (LTSB 2015 [1507] , 2016 [1607] and LTSC 2019); LTSC 2019 is based on v1809
    it's just that these LTSB/LTSC Win10 versions are not available to normal/casual users and only enterprise/corporate users can legitimately obtain them. each of these LTS versions get 5 years of mainstream support and additional 5 years of extended support for up to a total of ten years {see Win10 release information page}
