Does Win10 download+install Updates when Login=Welcome screen is up?

Assume I boot Win10 but do NOT login.

So currently the Login=Welcome screen is visible.

Does Win10 in this state (auto)search for updates, download and install them?

In other words: Is auto-update Win10 user-independent or a user login required?

Related question: From Android it is known that updates from Google Play Store are only automatically downloaded+installed when the SmartPhone is currently connected with a power cable.

This should avoid interrupted/corrupted App downloads when battery is empty.

Is this the same with Win10?
So when my notebook runs currently on battery no auto-updates are performed?

    Correct?

    This is also possible:
Prevent & Disable Windows Update from Waking Up PC System - Tech Journey
In Windows, Automatic Updates and/or Windows Update can automatically wake the PC up from sleep, hybrid sleep, hibernate or even shutdown state just to install updates and hotfixes. Most new Windows operating system has scheduled tasks that perform actions required by Windows Update and/or Automatic Updates, which is even more assertive in Windows 10.
Note that settings like Active Hours are user dependent (protecting against unexpected restart).

The way that feature updates are applied has changed: download for 1803 upwards now only starts when the user clicks 'Download and Install', or after end of life of the current build, or if (Pro) not deferred.

    MS makes this comment:
How can I make sure updates don't use too much battery? We recommend keeping devices like laptops and tablets plugged in when you’re not using them. This way, if updates are installed outside active hours, your device will have enough power to complete the installation. Windows updates don’t consume more battery than other typical system processes.
