    1903 taskbar less functional

    Formerly :
    Rightclick pinned icon, get small menu that contains at least name of that link;
    rightclick link name in that menu, get options that incl properties and run as administrator
    (maybe within a submenu "More").

    1903 (Pro):
    Rightclick pinned icon, get small menu that contains ONLY "Unpin from taskbar".

    Please tell me whether your 1903 taskbar does as mine does.

    No, my Taskbar jumplists are still there, both the Recent items and the Pinned items I had there before the upgrade to 1903.

    Check that yours hasn't been turned off (either by accident or by the upgrade).

    Recent items is a list of the files that you have used or opened recently. These items are displayed as "Recent files" in Quick access, and under "Recent" in jump lists on the Start menu and taskbar.

    Thanks.
    With items that you pinned, please look for what I wrote.

    It does not.

    The taskbar behaves as you posted for earlier Win 10 versions.

    This is what I see when I right-click on Notepad that's pinned to the Taskbar. This W10 Pro machine was upgraded from 1809 to 1903 a few days ago. The Pinned/Recent items in the list are the same ones that were there before the upgrade to 1903 - nothing has changed.

    That is not right, it should at a minimum also have Notepad.

    What do you get if you unpin Notepad and pin it to the Taskbar again?

    Thank you again. The purpose of my posting was to know whether the problem was specific to my Windows;
    purpose achieved, marked Solved.

    ONE of those three ways, Shift-Ctrl, is available to me. Good to know it, thanks.
    My own way for making the items be inherently runasadmin
    is to configure their shortcuts on the desktop before pinning.

    Of course properties remains unavailable to me in taskbar items.
