Received w10 offer on my Desktop

A small blue window came up & said download 10 & install at a later date.

I clicked it, the download started, finished & it started to "Upgrade", which I did not want. Does it mean that will not be able to upgrade later on?

Where did the download go, can't find it any where.

Look in C:\$Windows.~BT or C:\$Windows.~WS. Look for install.esd in the Sources folder under either of these.

You have to show Hidden files and folders in folder options to see them.

If you "Check for updates" in Windows Update it will probably re-appear. A much better option, when you want to upgrade, is to use the "Upgrade this PC now" option of the Windows Media Creation Tool:

    Thanx,

    I'll try.

I also found here " CNTRL PANEL/SYSTEM & SECURITY?WINDOWS UPDATE, click CHECK FOR UPDATES" that I can start the download & soon comes "Upgrade to W10".

Because it is a Windows 8 key that you are trying to install Windows 10 with. My wife's Mazda 5 won't start with my Mazda 3 key.

Why are you installing it again? Is it on the same computer? Are you doing a Clean Install? If so, click Skip when asked for a key.
