I've also tried the manual upgrade and I get the same error.

Is it possible that the driver problem is causing the mount problem ?

I have always had problems when trying to update my Windows 10. At the end I need to delete it and install it from scratch.
None of the solutions provided here (sfc /scannow, dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, chkdsk /scan) or in other sites solve the problem. I have also tried by uninstalling the antivirus.

And I always read the problem could be caused by drivers but my device manager doesn't show any error at all.

I just keep getting the 0x80070003 error.

I was getting a backlog of failed updates from June 27th to yesterday. Since nothing else worked, I ran a re-install of Windows-10 (keeping existing files) and now the updates are installing fine. No more 80070003 error when booting up after the restart.

Re-install of Windows-10 (keeping existing files) doesn't work for me either. Windows forces me to install everything from scratch.
