Do I select System Folder when Cloning a primary C drive

    Hi,

Have Win 10 1809 and wanting to use larger drive.

I want to clone the current primary C: drive to the new larger disk but not sure about whether I choose the E: System Folder as well as the C: source of the drive.

    Can you advise please?

Copy everything from the current drive over to the new drive.

Unplug the power cable from the current drive.

See if the new drive boots on it`s own.

After that you can do what you will with the new drive, but you need the system partition, and it should not have a letter.

As asked post a shot of Disk Management.

Personally, I only clone the C: drive partition. But I set up my own system and recovery partitions. If you aren't going to manually set up system and/or recovery partitions, then you need to clone at least the system partition and C: drive partitions from the old drive. Cloning recovery partitions is pretty much optional, your likely to break the links to the recovery partition anyway during the cloning process making it pretty much useless unless you go back and reestablish the links with reagentc commands.
