    Clean install places recovery drive at beginning of disk.


    Hi all,
    I’ve just done a clean install of Windows 1903 & noticed it placed the recovery partition at the beginning of the drive. Drive is GPT which I believed placed the recovery at the end.
    Everything works so am not worried but thought I’d ask to see if anyone else had noticed this.

    I have just converted my GPT disk(s) to MBR because I do a lot of Macrium Reflect backup images and GPT isn't doing anything fancy for me.

    You can try moving partitions around by booting into a WinPE environment (like Kyhi's Win10XPE or similar)

    Or you could disable WinRE environment altogether if you don't need it (reagentc /disable), but make a full partitions backup first. And then rearrange the remaining GPT partitions.
