Windows 10 Upgrade Error Code 0x80070057

Error Code 0x80070057 has been plaguing my system ever since attempting to upgrade my Windows 10 Edition from a Unactivated Home (Due to a CPU and Motherboard switch) to a Pro Edition License. I have followed a lot of "fixes" that should have fixed it by now, but sadly nothing has come of it, the only thing that was not tried was a fresh or repaired install of Windows 10. The message that I receive along with the code is saying the following "Something interrupted our troubleshooting. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, wait a few minutes, and try again.", wired Ethernet drivers (Ethernet running through WIFI extender by Netgear) are up to date and I had just downloaded The Division 2 fine. Registry shows the Edition ID as a Core and Product Name as Windows 10 Home.*

*System was originally part of a prebuilt Acer Aspire TC-780 Signature Edition but has been upgraded over time

    - the first should have been resolved- and tutorials here help with that. Had there been a particular problem, MS's regional activation centres (phone call) could have helped.

How did you upgrade to Pro? Like this?
Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro

And following that, was your Windows shown as having been activated, with your new license applied?
And were any updates then successfully applied?

    What does Settings, About show?
