    Hi @scopio,

First, you must update your BIOS version. With your current (A05) version, Win10 cannot be installed.

Go to Dell Inspiron 1545 support page, scrolling down a bit choose BIOS from 'Operating system' popup menu, download and install BIOS A14 version, then install Windows and enjoy it!
FYI updating the BIOS to A14 did not solve the issue, the upgrade to Win 10 failed at the same point
    Updating 75%
. So I will start again with zbook suggestions.

For the drive file system corruption:

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /r /v
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.

Use the text and images in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer > copy and paste > notepad > post a share link into the thread

    These were not yet posted:
    a) sfc /scannow
    b) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    c) setuperr.log
    d) setupact.log
    e) setupdiag

Do you know of other Dell Inspiron that were able to upgrade to Windows 10 without Dell testing and support and without Dell drivers?
If so what did they do for Dell drivers?

Please indicate whether you opened a new thread on Eight Forums yet to troubleshoot the BSOD.

The misbehaving driver in the setupmem.dmp was a software driver from Hitman pro.

    1) Uninstall hitman pro alert
    2) Uninstall Malwarebytes using the applicable uninstall tool:
    https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean
    3) Uninstall McAfee with the applicable uninstall tool:
    https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter...%3D6tkwg7qkj_9
    4) Make sure Windows defender is on
    5) If there are no BSOD for one week you can reinstall antivirus software or continue using windows defender. If you intend to perform windows upgrades it is best to use only windows defender.
    6) Some antiirus software may need to be installed in sequence so that there are no conflicts. Each software should be checked before reinstallation.

I will check again as to which files were not posted.
I only know what HeM posted above Access Denied

I am coming to the conclusion that Dell Inspiron 1545 cannot be updated to Windows 10

Nevertheless I am at the moment running chkdsk /r /v which as you say will take a very long time and as you point out there are issues with this pc which might be able to be solved.

Yes, my Dell Inspiron 1545 [2010, happily on ver 1809 now] & my Dell Inspiron 9300 [2005, now limited to ver 1709] were both updated to Windows 10 despite the absence of Dell testing & support.

I have told the OP about what I did for the 1545 drivers [wifi card, display] in the OP's other thread - Application that will check the compatibility of all existing hardware [page 3**]
** I also notice from the OP's post at the top of that page that we also have the same LAN card. I never had to do anything special about that either.

But the 1545 was on sale for several years and its hardware changed over time. Mine was a year or two newer than the OP's. Mine is 64 bit whereas the OP's is 32 bit.
